Computer Geeks

For all of my computer geek friends out there - which, let's face it, makes up the majority of my friends - I give you "The Six Dumbest Ideas in Computer Security".

You may thank me later. =)

Fuck FEMA.

It doesn't matter that FEMA removed Brown from the Katrina Catastrophe. It doesn't matter that Brown has now resigned - likely due to pressure for FEMA's repeated failures, when we all know it takes more than one man to commit all of the atrocities FEMA has committed these past days.

And while I try to stay away from posting about it, this really hit home. This is even more documented proof of FEMA's countless and willful acts of sabotage and death-warrant signatures. More examples of the incompetence and inexplicable behavior of FEMA:

FEMA rejects water, fuel, outside support, and cuts communication lines. Deaths continue to mount.

Anyone who supports Bush and FEMA during this time is an absolute fool who should throw themselves off the nearest mountain. They are the type of person who perpetuates the third-world horrors that are happening in our back yards. The problem with that is, we would soon have too many bodies to clean up... Wow, kinda like we have in New Orleans now.

Catching up

I have been... busy. To put it mildly. The few times I have posted, it has been on my LiveJournal account because, frankly, beyond the daily Bushisms and a few useless thoughts, I didn't have time to write anything of quality and plaster it here.

Likewise, the pictures that I plan on posting online will have to wait until I have more than a single free moment to myself.

What am I doing to keep me busy? For those of you who do not keep up with my LJ, my finances are ... in dire straights. So I took up an additional job. Oh, and it gets worse: I'm working at the dentist office I left in February. But there are some high points. I'm being paid more than what I left there with, I only have to deal with him about an hour a week (directly), and I just finished making a newsletter for him... Another newsletter for building my portfolio. And money. Gotta love money.

But yeah, this is proving to be an exercise in How To Relieve Stress While Loading Stress On Yourself. It's a bear, I will admit, working six days a week. Especially because my evening hours these past two weeks have been spent either soliciting for the United Way or working on the newsletter for the dentist office. I have no time really to myself except on Sundays and an occasional spot here and there. This too will pass. I just need to keep my head, heart, soul, and mind on straight until it does.

I've made progress on the piece I am arranging for Julie and I, just not as much as I like. And I have to finish the damn project for my Mom's xmas present a.s.a.p. so I can devote all of my time to the piece. Here's for wishing I had an extra day every week to Get Shit Done.

I have down time currently at the dentist office; patients are in the chairs, and I am taking a break from making calls, yadda yadda. But now it is back to work.
